Tonight is a big night. We were lucky enough to get an interview from none other than Hostage! Signed with Nightshifters, this fella is raving the UK and is invading mainland Europe! He was here just one week ago for New Years Eve at La Case à Chocs in Neuchâtel and he will be back to terminate us. So, before the interview, here are a couple tunes ranging from dubstep to electro and even a drumstep track released just this week via his facebook page! LET'S FIGHT!

- THE INTERVIEW -

Oh My Days: How did you come to be Hostage?

Hostage: I didn't decide: Catsuitboy came downstairs and named me.

Oh My Days: You've put out loads of tunes in 2010. Are we eventually going to see an LP?

Hostage: Hmmmmaaybe. LPs for me are normally a whole listening experience like a journey, it might be a bumpy ride best suited to bite size packages tho. I do other stuff under the guise of Wira sometimes - more albummmmy stuff. Maybe. I did one ages ago though... in 2000. Hostage - Money Well Spent

Oh My Days: What are you're plans for 2011?

Hostage: "status quo ante" : tunes, gigs, bass, fun.

Oh My Days: Any resolutions?

Hostage: Ach you know, be good, be healthy, be more active, all the usual stuff you think in January. All bollocks probably. Walk more.

Oh My Days: You were recently in Neuchâtel (CH) for a NYE Rave. What are your thoughts on the swiss scene? Plan on coming back?

Hostage: It was excellent: a great venue at case a chocs in Neuchâtel with a really up for it crowd, also in december I played at Tap Tab in Shaffhausen (you'd better check i got the spelling right!?) with Philipe de Boyar at his night and that was also going off so as far as I see it's a pretty good scene. No plans at the moment, i'd love to tho, I like your trains.

Oh My Days: You just put out a tune that most people would qualify as drumstep. Do you plan on doing more high tempo songs? Or are you gonna stick to the roots and continue 130ish bpm tracks?

Hostage: Nah, I'll probably stick to the dancelfloor business, in the mood to make some ravey bangers for dancing to. It's nice to be able to muck about with styles sometimes and let people hear them though.

Oh My Days: Talk about your best DJing memory.

Hostage: I had a couple of belters in the summer. Once on a robotic flame throwing spider at arcadia stage at glastonbury and also in a tent on the banks of loch ness on the Annie Mac stage playing all sorts of nonsense to ravers in the rain.

Oh My Days: Any final words for the readers/fans?

Hostage: All the very best to you all for 2011.

Oh My Days: The best to you too! And everyone, go check out the soundcloud. It's got LOADS of massive tunes! CLICK HERE!
